Why Did You Decide to Become an Orthodontist?
Dr. Alkhoury’s first personal exposure to orthodontics occurred when he found out his 17-year-old sister needed braces. As she completed treatment, he got to see firsthand how her smile completely transformed for the better. He also noticed her becoming more outgoing, talkative, and confident as a result of the treatment. It was a life-changing moment for him, and it motivated him to provide that same experience and care to others in the same situation as his sister. Today, he couldn’t be happier with the career path he chose.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
After first earning his dental degree from Boston University, where he also graduated with honors, he went on to complete a residency in Advanced Education in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at New York University. Over the years, he’s become a well-respected practitioner and has been recognized by the American Academy of Orthodontists for his care and dedication to providing exceptional treatment. Outside of the Orthodontic Office, What Do You Like to Do?
When he’s not working, Dr. Alkhoury enjoys spending time with his family, cheering on his favorite team, the Red Sox, and traveling the country.
